Product Review- Vipera Loose Glitters The Galaxy Series

Vipera is a Polish brand that has evolved massively in last few years. I remember as a teenager buying their products, the packaging was terrible but the product itself always over delivered  on quality. Vipera nail polishes and loose eye glitters are the stand-out items form their range. Peachy neon pinks and hot lime polishes are amazing, opaque and look insane against tanned skin (come summer I will definitely do a review).

In "winter" (cloudy skies and 19C is what we call winter in UAE) I wear a lot of darker makeup. My go to look is smokey eyes, especially for a night out or dinner get together, but the grey/black one tends to be bit boring, especially when you wear black head to toe like I do. So to sparkle things up these magic pots are just amazing, you get loads of product, color is super intense and when applied over good base they stay until you decide the party is over.
The key trick to make them go on a lid is creamy base that glitter can grab to, for me  the best are gel liners either Inglot or Mac Black Track. Occasionally when I wear golden glitter I pair it up with Painterly paint pot, however majority of times I would use dark base as it make the sparkle pop more.

The shades I picked up (left to right) 118 (emerald green), 105 (yellow gold), 122 (purple) and 129 (navy blue). All swatches are over Inglot gel liner in purple.

The most reach for shades are emerald green and purple, when I'm tan I love wearing them over my eyeliner, just to intensify the eyes. For all the ladies out there that love smokey eye but want a bit of shimmer and give it a cool twist -these Vipera glitters are great.
Vipera cosmetics are available in The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Mirdif City Centre, Ajman City Centre, Al Wahda Mall Abu Dhabi, Mega Mall Sharjah, Al Ain Mall

This is just a quick video of my everyday makeup. If you would like to recreate this look below you will find a list of products that I used. You don't need to use the exact same shades as the colours I'm using are super easy to substitute.

Eyes: Mac Pain in Bare Canvas, Revlon Colour Stay Eyeshadow in 03, MAC Gel Liner in Black Track, Vipera Cosmetic Mineral Brow Gel in 04, Makeup 4 Ever Smokey Lash

Sephora Collection Color Lip Last in #13

If you love your Ruby Woos and Relentlessly Reds you know that these shades are nearly impossible  to get your hands on in DXB. If you want to grab them first you need to be frequent spender at MAC and get friendly with their makeup ladies, so when a branch receives lousy 3 pieces of your desired lippy they will give you a call (if they feel like that is). All in all you have to get on a waiting list to sport the lip colour of your choice. This is mainly the case with all matte shades, as they are the best sellers across Middle East (no wonder, they look stunning on Arab women's olive skin).

However if you are like me, and instant gratification is your middle name Sephora is a great place to find brilliant MAC dupes for their red lip shades or may I dare to say discover even better colours. The other week I have been on a hunt for my all time favourite Relentlessly Red but after visiting all of the malls on the Emirates (or what felt like I did ) I ended up browsing though the piles of makeup in local Sephora. Here is where I found this amazing little beauty from their Colour Lip Last collection in nr 13.

It is by far the closest in shade to Relentlessly Red and despite it's matte finish it is less drying on the lips. The consistency is very creamy and the colour payoff is insane. I find working with MAC matte lipsticks is bit of a pain (but I put up with it because the colours are amazing) with these lippies you get best of both worlds- great coverage and products that just glides onto the lips.

I tend to pair it with MAC Pro Long Wear lip pencil in Trust in Red to prevent the colour from bleeding and getting all over. I feel like this shade will look amazing on both darker and lighter skin. It is a mix between hot red and pink, so the slight cooler blue undertone  will make your teeth look whiter and will brighten your smile.

Ponds Gold Radiance Precious Youth Serum

January has been a skin care month for me. I need to admit that I never liked buying boring creams and serums , but once you pass mid twenties something ticks and all of a sudden all the potions jars filled with collagen seem like your best friends.

Recently I have managed to set up a day and night routine that I religiously follow (which has never happened before, EVER). The creams I opted for are all high street, affordable finds and boy they are amazing. The unsung star of the pack is definitely Gold Radiance Precious Youth Serum by Ponds.

It is a water-based gel consistency serum that contains "real gold micro particles". I am not convinced if these particles are real gold at about AED 80.00 per 30ml bottle but what I can say is, this serum is amazing. It makes my skin plumped and I find that when applied over my moisturiser it boosts it's hydrating power. It does not have any smell and most importantly it is kind to my sensitive skin.

The only down side of this product it's the packaging, especially the application pump. It comes with a medical type pipette that does not grip the product very well. It takes me few tries before I actually get enough of "serving" to work it to my face. I use about 4 pea size drops. If the manufacturer would just include a small pump, the product would be much easier to use. Having said that I have been using the product for nearly a month and I am not even 1/4 into the bottle. Small amount does go a long way taking into consideration that I apply it day and night.

Another great advantage is that it does work great with all my foundations and BB creams. It makes it easy to blend my base product into skin and gives even, air brushed looking finish. It's a big plus, especially when I'm in hurry to get out of the door in the morning and don't have a lot of time to buff the foundation.

Overall I do love this serum and I will definitely repurchase it once it runs out. If you have dry dehydrated skin that is in need of TLC and you don't have big bucks to spend on high end serum, try this one.
